As a personal trainer, I see that too many aren’t mentally prepared to change their lifestyle. Once you start making excuses to stop training or sticking to your eating plans, it usually goes downhill from there. I know it’s not easy, that’s common! No one would be out of shape if it was that simple to just stop eating garbage and get in a gym. Decide that you are ready to look and feel better and stick with it. Aren’t you worth it?
If you’ve been following the same workout routine and diet for longer than a couple months, you’re probably noticing that you’ve plateaued. Here’s why: your body has adapted and no longer responds to your routine. It’s time to shake it up! Get with a personal trainer or try new fitness classes at your gym. If you’re not a member of a gym, you’re going to have to do some research to get yourself a new workout plan. If you normally walk 5 miles, start jogging instead. If you usually only lift 5lbs, upgrade to 10! Diet wise, you can add more variety. It’ll take some getting used to, but if you want to take your body to the next level, you’re going to have to try new things. I promise you WILL see results! Be patient with yourself and your journey. 🙂
